Thin walls and reasonable diameter meant the gear oil flowed Iassume you are not a troll. The owner's manual shows oil capacity is 5.5 quarts, so only having 4.5 quarts is okay (for a while). The lack of a Stelvio dipstick is inexcusable and your experience shows EXACTLY why. My Audi S5 came with a plug in the dipstick tube- but at least you can buy a real dipstick, which I did. No dipstick is pure Whenoil level increases the first thing you would do on older cars is look at the oil on the dipstick. If the oil on the dipstick is creamy brown antifreeze probably leaked into the oil, very bad. No dipstick you can't check the oil.
