As in many a game, Jedi: Fallen Order is littered with loot boxes.These can be a bit harder to get, too, but are a simple way of getting XP instantly. The chests are full of various cosmetic items such as colorful skins for BD-1, paint jobs for the main ship of the game, the Mantis, ponchos for Cal, and stuff for Cal's lightsaber, such as crystals and parts for the saber itself.
Bloodborne and other Souls games managed to do it because it really didn't affect the story and Souls games in general give you a lot of freedom to experience the game/story. But Fallen Order revolves heavily on experiencing the story when accesing certain areas, so it would break the game to access those areas before time. Quite unfortunate.
