It’s all good until you join a friends game and they are +20 True but for random jolly co-op, I suspect the lower gear player base is more numerous than the maxed up one. Perfectly in the middle is nice. Not forever unless they think like you. @DarthWendy If you don't feel like doing upgrades past +10/+5 you don't have to.
It scale rather good for solo. I dont feel it's harder solo, almost easier. The problem with solo for me isn't the scaling, but the adds in boss fights. If you have 2 or 3 people it's more manageable than when you're alone (that's why I use mostly summons)
It's more fun with friends, but you can beat it single-player.
