For higher handicappers and beginners, the Kirkland Signature will perform pretty much as good as the Pro V1. The Pro V1 does have a high spin around the greens though, and its softer feel is more pleasant, especially with the putter. For really good golfers, the Pro V1x is better than the Kirkland due to a higher compression.
The Z Star will be a good choice for those who like softer feel golf balls and a bit more spin than the Pro V1. One negative of the Z Star we found was the cover was undoubtedly less durable than the Titleist Pro V1. Titleist Pro V1 is a little more clicky, which many excellent players like, particularly on and around the greens. So, If you want a top-quality ball with a bit more softness, go for the Pro V1. Of the 50 ball models measured to date for Ball Lab, fewer than 10 qualify as firmer than a Pro V1x. I can't say whether or not the Pro-V1x, Mizuno RB Tour, Srixon Z-Star, TaylorMade TP5 or Chrome Soft is better. The Chrome Soft seemed to be on a half-tier below the other four, but not a drastic difference IMO. The Titleist, Mizuno, TM and Srixon were all extremely high performing around the green.

Definitely longer than the Pro V1 and if not playing on superfast tarred fairways also a tad longer than the Pro V1X due to longer carry. Wind wasn’t an issue. B330-RX: More a mid-level launch with long carry and a not to bad roll. Distance wise on par with the Pro V1. Behaves fantastic in windy conditions and flies ruler-straight to the target.
