If OP truly thinks that having Alexios as an option is the main issue as they're claiming here, "Kassandra should've been the only option" would've been a lot less confusing as a title.
Both. I played all the way through as Alexios to get the “best” or happy ending. Really enjoyed it and will go back for dlc and exploration, but now I’m playing as Kassandra and love killing my way through Greece. It’s a game worthy of a second playthrough! 1) They tell the story from start to finish, following the game 2) it tells a whole different story using Kassandra as the lead due to her immortality. I think the only issue would be casting, because you have to use Melissanthi for Kassandra- but Kassandra needs to be pretty muscular.
The eagle that alexios/kassandra used was given to them from there actual father, Pythagoras, and he had been studying the isu for years long after he should have died so maybe the eagle vision in the other games was something that they unlocked for the assassin's by training an unlocking more of their isu DNA but Bayek and Alexios/Kassandra
