Need For Speed Underground 2 has been lovingly remade using Unreal Engine 5, and it’s never looked better. While Xbox has Forza and PlayStation has Gran Turismo, a racing franchise that has fallen from favour slightly is Need For Speed.
A YouTube channel has converted the classic racing game to the latest engine and shared a trailer and gameplay footage. The project is called 2Unreal4Underground and aims to recreate the original game's visuals and physics.
A modder is building a visually-impressive remake of 2004’s Need For Speed Underground 2 in Unreal Engine 4, revamping the graphics and adding new features to the classic racer. The remake could be an official entry in the popular racing simulator franchise, as EA has not ruled out the possibility of a modern remaster of the game.
